Amble around some beautiful National Trust houses and gardens or take in the wilds of Dartmoor.

On those rare bad weather days have no fear. The kids are well catered for with several super fun options - zoos, animal petting and aquariums.

Every type of beach you could wish for is within striking distance of The Whitehouse.

Whether you want full on facilities, a beach shack serving piping hot moules frites with an ice cold Picpoul or a deserted, secret cove which makes you feel like you've struck gold.

There are sheltered coves, vast sandy stretches, gentle shallows, rockpools and surf hotspots.

We are well located for some of the best hiking routes in the UK. The South West Coastal Path delivers whatever the weather. Check out the WALKS page for a selection of our favourites.

There are short circulars, long slogs, walks with fine dining or simple pub grub as a reward. There's the Gara terrace with it's gobsmacking views.

A visit to The Whitehouse bed and breakfast hotel is not complete without taking on one of these treks!
